UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiology team member for evening and alternate weekend shifts at UAB St Vincent's St Clair. You will prepare and position patients, operate imaging equipment, and assist physicians in procedures in a fast-paced radiology department.

The role emphasizes strict radiation safety, patient care, and collaboration with technologists. Eligibility includes a high school diploma or equivalent and enrollment in an accredited program in radiology; BLS certification is required

Competenze

• BLS Provider credentialed by the American Heart Association must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent and enrollment in an accredited program related to radiology/discipline.

• Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.

• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as allowed by scope of practice and regulations.

Job Description

Provide services to patients under the direct supervision.

• Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.
