Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care within the Imaging department under PRN scheduling. The role involves coordinating care across disciplines, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out physician and nursing orders to support positive patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate should hold an accredited nursing degree with current Alabama RN licensure and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Required professional licensure at time of hire.
