Job summary

The American Heart Association seeks a graduate student to extract, analyze, and summarize prevalence, mortality, and health care utilization data from national datasets such as NHANES, NHIS, and CDC WONDER. You will assist with collection, management, analysis, and reporting for scientific publications.

You will develop and maintain SOPs for quality assurance and reproducibility, work in a fast-paced environment, and use cloud-based SAS, R, and approved AI tools.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field with coursework in epidemiologic methods and statistics.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based SAS and R statistical software, and experience using approved AI tools for data analysis is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

  • Competitive hourly compensation of $23.00 per hour for a 20-25 hour per week commitment.
