Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern for a 12-week summer program across multiple Texas locations, including Houston. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in the energy portfolio, including gas and liquids processing, transmission and storage, with duties that may cover process simulation and field operations.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical engineering, at least at sophomore level, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical).
• Sophomore level coursework completed or in progress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Learn assets in energy portfolio and gain experience in gas/liquid processing, transmission, storage and export.
• Assist with process simulation, system modeling, measurements, sizing, equipment functions and maintenance.

Summary

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Interns for our summer program to join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The mainobjective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio,gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
• Responsibilities will vary with location but may include process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flowmeasurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, andmaintenance requirements, and the day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminalsystems.

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical,Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement inactivities outside college studies.

• Must possess a strong willingness to learn
• Willing to travel
• Excellent attention to details.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities

This is a twelve (12) week program starting in May 2027 - various locations (including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Midland and Mont Belvieu).
