Job summary

Energy Transfer invites engineering students to join a 12-week summer internship program starting May 2027 in multiple locations, including Houston. You must be enrolled in an undergrad or grad degree with graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

The role exposes you to assets in the energy portfolio, with hands-on duties across processing, transmission, and field operations. Responsibilities include process simulation, system modeling, flow measurements, equipment sizing, and maintenance

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
• Above average GPA

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with assets in the energy portfolio, gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
• Process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flow measurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, and maintenance requirements; day-to-day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.

This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Intern for our summer program to join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The main objective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
