Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking motivated Engineering Interns for our summer program to join the PL Integrity team in Houston. The internship offers hands-on exposure to assets in the energy portfolio, including gathering, processing, and transmission of natural gas and liquids.

As part of the internship you will assist with process simulations, system modeling, measurements, and field operations, while developing written and verbal communication skills and a solid GPA.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical.
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Above average GPA

Responsibilities

Summary

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Interns for our summer program to join our Integrity team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The mainobjective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio,gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
  • Responsibilities will vary with location but may include process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flowmeasurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, andmaintenance requirements, and the day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminalsystems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical,Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement inactivities outside college studies.

  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Must possess a strong willingness to learn
  • Willing to travel
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
