Job summary

Ziegler Inc. offers an internship program designed to give hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines and equipment in a shop setting. You will learn from senior technicians and respond to customer needs in a positive, timely manner.

This internship includes a starting wage of $21.00 per hour, scholarship opportunities, mentorship, PPE and safety gear provided, and a strong emphasis on safe, collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics.
• Maintain good grades.
• Receive positive recommendations from instructors.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment.
• This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair heavy diesel engines, construction or agriculture equipment in a shop environment.
• Assist in diagnosing issues and learning from senior technicians.
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner.
