Job summary

Ziegler is offering an internship for aspiring technicians to gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, construction and agriculture equipment in a shop setting. You will learn from senior technicians and be mentored while assisting with troubleshooting and repairs.

Starting wage is $21.00 per hour, with additional benefits including scholarship opportunities, mentorship, PPE and uniforms reimbursement, tool insurance, and a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2-year degree program related to diesel engine mechanics or equipment mechanics.
• Maintain good grades.
• Receive positive recommendations from instructors.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Role is safety-sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and equipment in a shop.
• Learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, timely manner.
• Work with senior technicians to mentor development.
