You will support the development, optimization, evaluation, and validation of diagnostic assays in a CLIA-certified laboratory. Under supervision, you gain hands-on experience in assay development, analytical testing, data analysis, and lab operations.

Labcorp is seeking a Diagnostics Research Assays Intern to join our Research and Development Team in Calabasas, CA!

Work Schedule: 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:

Support the development, optimization, evaluation, and validation of diagnostic assays in a CLIA-certified laboratory environment. Working under the supervision of a Research Associate or Scientist, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in assay development, analytical testing, data analysis, and laboratory operations

Minimum Qualifications:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Life Science, or Pre-Medicine track

Additional Job Standards:

Interest in chemistry, biology, and lab related research. Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts

About the Team:

The Diagnostic Research Intern will support the development, optimization, evaluation, and validation of diagnostic assays in a CLIA-certified laboratory environment. Working under the supervision of a Research Associate or Scientist, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in assay development, analytical testing, data analysis, and laboratory operations. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of innovative diagnostic tests.

Internship Details:
  • Duration: 11 weeks, full‑time
  • Dates of Internship: June1,2027–August13,2027
  • Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec2027 through June2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Application Window: 9/11/26–10/12/26
  • Pay Range: $17.75-$20.00/hr
Benefits:

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
