This position will assist several sections with ongoing and new projects. Projects include case retention, supply organization, and issue along with seized items inventory and disposal. Knowledge of computer software like Excel and accessories like scanners and copiers preferred. Intern must pass a background investigation to work with sensitive criminal justice records.
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program. All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation. An arrest/conviction record will not necessarily bar employment. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.
