Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or immediately preceding semester.
The Bureau of Human Resources and Administration is seeking an intern to work on preparation for the HRIS system upgrade for Payroll and Work Force Management (WFM), standardization, process improvements for this and change management effort planning. This position will include documentation of business processes, standard operating procedures, and process flow maps. There will be some data analytics and other projects assigned in a variety of HR functions.
The intern should have a strong understanding of business process documentation along with change management tools and theories. Data analytics and understanding of data validation would be a plus. Intern should be able to work independent and with in a team environment.
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
