Job summary

Dominion Energy invites applicants for an internship focused on insider threat risk mitigation within its Security organization. You will assist in implementing security measures, helping to raise employee security awareness and support investigations of insider threats in a confidential manner.

The role also supports Dominion Energy’s 24/7/365 Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) and collaborates with the Threat Response and Analysis Center (TRAC) to deploy technical security solutions

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a security-related field.
• Anticipated graduation date: Dec 2025 or 2026.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy’s Insider Threat Program is a well-coordinated, cross-functional approach to enterprise-wide risk mitigation. As an intern, you will engage in a continuous improvement process designed with specific measures to raise employee awareness and provide best practice security measures. You will help implement policies that drive risk mitigation and, when required, support investigations of insider threats in a consistent and confidential manner.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will support the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC), Dominion Energy’s core 24/7/365 operations center for Physical Security. The PSOC serves as the operations hub for the Dominion Energy Security Response Centers (SRC). As part of the Threat Response and Analysis Center (TRAC), you will collaborate with the Technical Security Team to implement technical physical security solutions for Dominion Energy facilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with social media.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Data Analytics, Economics, International Affairs, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Criminal Justice).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or 2026.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Hourly Rate:

$26.00 - $28.00

The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
