Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking students to participate in our internship program. This role provides hands-on IT support experience in a professional utility environment, with competitive hourly compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will help resolve customer inquiries and tickets, assist with Windows11 and Office 365 support, and coordinate with IT groups to ensure smooth service. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and commute to the designated site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Rising junior with anticipated graduation in 2028 or later.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert and creative solutions to user problems to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity.
• Research, resolve, and respond to complex questions via telephone, tickets, or emails, providing support on electronic services.
• Support software as described in triage documentation; proficient with Windows11 and Office 365.
• Must coordinate closely with IT infrastructure and support teams.
• Demonstrate strong computer knowledge; learn and utilize IT software programs.
• Demonstrate customer service and problem-solving skills; familiarity with PC hardware, imaging, and network monitoring tools.

Job Summary

• The position provides support for software as described in triage documentation and has proficient knowledge of Windows11, and Office 365
• The position requires close coordination with all IT infrastructure and support teams
• Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and utilize IT software programs
• Must have strong customer service and problem solving skills; coursework or experience in PC hardware functionality, desktop imaging , network monitoring tools, Microsoft Office project support preferred
• Proficient knowledge of Windows11, and Office 365
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills; be able to work independently and as a team

Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location and have reliable transportation

Education Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Students should be a rising junior and have an anticipated graduation date 2028 or later.

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
