  • Support the collection, organization, and analysis of historical assay data and sample information to facilitate assay lot-to-lot comparability activities.
  • Collaborate with laboratory teams to establish standardized processes for sample retention, retrieval, documentation, and long-term repository management.
  • Utilize laboratory databases and inventory management tools to improve sample traceability and operational efficiency.
  • Present project findings and recommendations to laboratory leadership and cross-functional stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship.

Work Schedule: M-F / 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM: / 40 hrs. per week

Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred

About the Team:

The Core Automated Testing and Immunology Department supports the majority of clinical trial testing performed within Labcorp's Central Laboratory network. Our team utilizes advanced automated testing platforms and immunoassay technologies to generate high-quality, reliable data that supports global drug development programs. We provide scientific leadership through assay validations, method implementation, troubleshooting, and technical consultation to internal and external stakeholders across the organization. As an intern, you will join a team of experienced scientists and laboratory professionals who are dedicated to operational excellence and scientific innovation. This internship will support a strategic initiative to develop a comprehensive inventory and repository of clinical samples and assay materials used for assay lot-to-lot comparability and lifecycle management. Through close collaboration with laboratory scientists, validation teams, and operational leaders, you will gain hands‑on experience in laboratory processes, data management, sample tracking, and continuous improvement efforts that directly support clinical trial testing and future assay development activities. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in laboratory science, immunology, bioanalytical testing, and process optimization within a global clinical research environment.

Internship Details:
  • Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
  • Dates of Internship: June 1, 2027 - August 13, 2027
  • Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
