Job summary

CHAMP is seeking an Intern, Business Analyst in Cleveland (onsite). You will support projects within Solutions Activation, Product, or Data & Reporting, gathering and analyzing business requirements, mapping processes, and developing insights with stakeholders.

The role offers hands-on data work, exposure to dashboards, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, with mentorship and a summer internship experience designed for growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 10-week, ~40-hour-per-week internship in Cleveland from early June through early August 2027.
• Exposure to business analysis skills such as requirements gathering, analytical thinking, research, process development, data analysis, or team-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Support a defined project within Solutions Activation, Product, or Data & Reporting.
• Gather, organize, and analyze business requirements, processes, and data to support project decisions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, identify challenges, and document requirements.
• Assist with process mapping and identify opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Analyze data and help develop reports, dashboards, or other insights to support business decisions.
• Track project milestones, tasks, risks, and deliverables and help prepare project updates.
• Assist with documenting processes, requirements, issues, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Activation, Data, and other teams to support project goals.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations.
• Receive guidance, mentorship, and feedback from CHAMP team members.
• Participate in professional development, networking, and learning opportunities throughout the summer.
• Present your project and results to CHAMP employees and leadership during the end-of-summer Intern Showcase.

Your Impact

As a Business Analyst Intern, you’ll work alongside CHAMP teams to help solve real business challenges through research, analysis, process improvement, and project-based work. You’ll gain hands‑on experience working with data, business requirments, and stakeholders while learning how technology solutions are developed and implemented.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Available to complete a 10-week, approximately 40-hour-per-week internship in Cleveland from early June through early August 2027.
• Some exposure to business analysis skills such as requirements gathering, analytical thinking, research, process development, data analysis, or team-based projects through coursework, internships, extracurricular activities, or other hands‑on experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize information, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Experience with common business and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or hands‑on experience in business analysis, data analytics, project management, information systems, research, or process improvement.
• Experience with Excel, data visualization, reporting, or dashboard tools.
• Familiarity with requirements gathering, process mapping, or project management concepts.
• Experience working on team-based or cross‑functional projects through coursework, internships, extracurricular activities, or employment.
• Interest in technology, SaaS, government modernization, or digital transformation.
• Previous internship or professional experience in a fast‑paced environment is a plus, but not required.

Salary Range

The expected hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour. This is a good faith estimate, and final compensation may vary based on experience, and skills.
