Job summary

Garmin International in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Intern - Aviation Program Specialist to gain hands-on training supporting aircraft performance and load planning activities. You will learn to assist with configurations, inquiries, change requests, and weight & balance updates while collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing industry knowledge.

The role offers exposure to customer support, testing, deployment, and technical documentation tasks within Garmin's aviation product

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Business or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (as a general rule).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply program management fundamentals including communication, scheduling, scope tracking, and customer support activities.
• Assist in resolving, tracking, and routing customer issues or requests.
• Provide support for Garmin aircraft performance and load planning products.
• Participate in testing and deployment activities for Garmin aviation products and solutions.
• Assist with technical writing and preparation of aircraft performance or load data materials.
• Support project management and program coordination activities.
• Assist in investigating operational events and identifying potential root causes under guidance.
• Support special projects as assigned.

Overview

We are seeking a full-time Intern - Aviation Program Specialist at Garmin's Scottsdale, AZ office. In this role, you will be responsible for gaining hands-on training and experience supporting aircraft performance and weight & balance activities. This role will learn to assist with customer aircraft configurations, performance inquiries, change requests, and aircraft weight & balance updates while collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing valuable industry knowledge.

Essential Functions

• Learn and apply program management fundamentals including communication, scheduling, scope tracking, and customer support activities
• Assist in resolving, tracking, and routing customer issues or requests
• Provide support for Garmin aircraft performance and load planning products under supervision
• Participate in testing and deployment activities for Garmin aviation products and solutions
• Assist with technical writing and preparation of aircraft performance, load planning, or other data materials
• Support project management and program coordination activities
• Assist in investigating operational events and identifying potential root causes under guidance
• Support special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Business or related field
• Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

Desired Qualifications

• Private Pilot License (PPL)
