Job summary

BMW Shared Services, LLC in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, invites motivated undergraduates to intern in Accounting Operations. This role supports month-end close, general ledger processes, accounts payable/receivable, and purchasing activities while working in a hybrid environment.

Selected interns must meet GPA and credit-hour requirements, have accounting coursework, and be able to work 36.25 hours per week. SAP/Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred, with English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours at time of application.
• Field of study: Accounting. Attach a copy of college unofficial transcript.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
• Languages: English (fluent, oral and written).

Job Description

This intern will have a basic understanding of how the accounting department operates by supporting the month and quarter end close. They will be able to understand the basic business processes for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting.

• Analyze balance sheet accounts and assist with journal entries.
• Develop knowledge of general ledger account details.
• Support accounting activities across sales, marketing, and purchasing functions.
• Assist the Credit Team with dealer-related activities.
• Support projects involving account reconciliations, clearing account data, and researching aged account activity.

What We Are Looking For.

• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have completed at least 60 college credit hours at time of application.
• Field of study: Accounting Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
• Experience using Microsoft Suite and SAP Conscientious, responsible, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team Languages: English (fluent, oral and written.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This is a hybrid role that requires in office days.

Undergraduate students: Hourly rate is $25.30.

Graduate students: Hourly rate is $32.20.
