Job summary

HellermannTyton North America is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the Finance team with cost accounting and inventory activities. Under the Cost Supervisor, you will maintain product cost rolls, prepare inventory reports, analyze data, and assist with month-end close in a manufacturing setting.

You will gain hands-on experience while collaborating with cross-functional departments to understand cost accounting, financial reporting, and business operations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
• Completed at least 2 years of college coursework
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Windows-based software

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and validation of product cost rolls

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and validation of product cost rolls
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports
• Assist in the month-end closing process, analysis and preparing journal entries

Other Functions:

• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis
• Provide support to other members of the Finance team as needed
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Above average verbal and written communication skills.
• 2 years of college level classes and actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Computer proficient in Windows based software
• Hours of availability from 8:00 until 4:30, overtime as necessary
