Job summary

HellermannTyton is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the Finance team in cost accounting and inventory activities in a manufacturing setting. Under the Cost Supervisor, you will help maintain product cost rolls, prepare inventory reports, and assist with month-end close tasks.

You will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional colleagues, learning cost accounting, financial reporting, and business operations while contributing to accurate data and timely analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and validation of product cost rolls.

• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Cost Supervisor, the Accounting Intern will support the Finance team with cost accounting and inventory-related activities. This role will assist with maintaining product cost rolls, preparing inventory reports, analyzing inventory and cost data, and supporting month-end close activities. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working closely with members of the Finance team and cross-functional departments to develop a broad understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting, and business operations.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and validation of product cost rolls
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports
• Assist in the month-end closing process, analysis and preparing journal entries

Other Functions:

• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis
• Provide support to other members of the Finance team as needed
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Above average verbal and written communication skills.
• 2 years of college level classes and actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Computer proficient in Windows based software
• Hours of availability from 8:00 until 4:30, overtime as necessary
