You will liaise with production teams, support cost improvement projects, analyze variances, and provide margin analyses for new products while tracking budget and inventory trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar; 3–5 years in manufacturing cost accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel; hands-on ERP experience; strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze standard and actual costs for variances and prepare reports.
  • Liaise with production teams on variances for root cause identification and countermeasures.
  • Provide financial support for cost improvement projects, tracking and reporting.
  • Analyze purchase price variance and prepare reports for Supply Chain with improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with quoting team on cost and profitability analysis and quote packages.
  • Provide margin analyses for new products; highlight actual vs quoted margins.
  • Prepare reports comparing actual to budgeted costs and track reductions.
  • Analyze inventory trends and future projections to reduce balance sheet risk.
  • Maintain productivity reporting and collaborate with Operations on errors and inefficiencies.
  • Work on special projects as required.

  • Providing financial support for cost improvement projects, tracking and reporting
  • Analyze purchase price variance, preparing reports for Supply Chain with improvement opportunity recommendation
  • Partner with the quoting team, participating in special projects, product cost and profitability analysis, and in the preparation of quote packages as necessary
  • Provide margin analysis reviews on newly introduced products, highlighting actual vs. quoted margin gaps

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar and three (3) to five (5) years in manufacturing cost accounting experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel, experience in manipulating large databases a plus
  • Significant hands‑on experience using an integrated ERP system
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accounting
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment is required
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments.
  • Must be a team player who also works well independently.
  • Must be able to analyze data, draw conclusions, interpret results, and make recommendations.
