Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. invites engineering students to join our Technology Enablement Engineering team as Physical Verification Interns. You will contribute to critical IC design workflows and gain exposure to upper management through real projects.

The internship offers hands-on experience with physical design flows, automated QA, and collaboration across teams. Successful candidates are pursuing EE degrees and excel in debugging, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework or experience.
• Knowledge of physical design flows and IC manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in TCL or Python; Git version control.
• Strong debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Building QA unit-cells for design rules.

Skyworks' Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Skyworks offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Skyworks’ Technology Enablement Engineering, Physical Verification Internships are offered in our Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.

Responsibilities

• Developing physical verification decks.

Required Experience and Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering.
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience.
• Knowledge of Physical design flows.
• Knowledge of IC manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as TCL, Python.
• Familiarity with version control utilizing Git
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail oriented, and responsible team-player

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience writing unit tests is preferred

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
