Job summary

Schneider National is seeking an experienced intermodal driver to haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis. The role features 95% no-touch freight with about 85% drop-and-hook, and operates in railyards across AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN and VA.

Paid orientation, benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off after 6 months, and an annual bonus program are part of Schneider's driver package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement is strongly preferred.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire - Schneider's self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.
• Live within 50 miles of Savannah, GA.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• Drive in and out of railyards within AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN and VA.
• Operate 95% no-touch freight that is 85% drop-and-hook.
