Job summary

CSX is seeking Intermodal Service Employees to safely perform activities that place customer freight for movement on trains from origin to destination terminals across our network. ISEs ensure the availability of freight for pickup after arrival at the destination terminal.

New hires complete four days of hands-on and classroom training at their home terminal, then begin on-the-job training for up to eight months.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Securement tasks include securing trailers and intermodal equipment.
• Operate tractors (hostlers) and lift machines to move equipment.
• Inspect equipment for condition and readiness; climb ladders and stairs as needed.
• Input and retrieve information using Microsoft Office and terminal systems.
• Work outdoors in changing weather and adhere to shift schedules.
