Job summary

REMPREX in Richmond, California is seeking an Equipment Operator to facilitate workload in an intermodal terminal, ensuring safe operations in a fast-paced environment. The role involves operating cranes and yard equipment, coordinating with the team, and maintaining security of containers and trailers.

You will perform pre- and post-shift inspections, adapt to changing workloads, and work on-site in all weather with strong safety and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workload based on client needs
• Attend or facilitate pre-shift job briefings
• Complete pre- and post-shift inspections of equipment
• Operate cranes, side loaders, reach stackers, and hostlers to unload/load containers and trailers
• Ensure containers/trailers are secured prior to departure
• Move containers/trailers from rail to designated parking stalls
• Move to offsite properties as required
• Maintain organization of yard inventory
• Follow regulations and safety policies
• Communicate effectively for safe day-to-day operations
