Job summary

REMPREX, INC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on intermodal heavy equipment in a fast-paced outdoor environment. You will read electrical and hydraulic schematics, troubleshoot issues, and ensure OEM specifications are followed for safe operation.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, a valid driver's license, own tools, and the ability to work outside in all weather, including at heights, with occasional after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Possess your own basic tools.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and at heights.
• Willing to work after hour call outs and stay safe around loud machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on intermodal heavy equipment.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose issues.
• Repair and maintain heavy equipment and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair systems; maintain detailed records.
• Conduct equipment inspections following OEM specs.
• Respond to customer equipment requests and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide training for coworkers on proper, safe operation.
• Cross-train and assist other departments as needed.
