Parsec, LLC is seeking a Ground Person and Hostler Driver in Avon, Indiana. The role involves directing crane operators, moving containers, and supporting intermodal yard operations.

Ground Person responsibilities include yard maintenance, safety checks, and recordkeeping. Pay starts at $22.00 per hour with additional duties training during the initial two weeks and opportunities for growth.

Formación

• Age 18+ and eligible for work in the US.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous hostler driver or intermodal experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to operate hostler trucks safely in varying spaces and conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Physical stamina for a demanding yard environment.

Responsabilidades

• Safely move containers and trailers with hostler trucks following safety rules.
• Follow dispatch directions to prioritize container movements.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized terminal yard and proper storage.
• Record container movements and usage in the terminal systems.
• Complete required paperwork and maintenance requests.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies in yard duties.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other terminal staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with yard personnel to coordinate loading/unloading activities.
• Resolve operational issues or conflicts in the yard promptly.
