Job summary

The Big Blue Box Ltd is seeking an Intermodal Dispatcher in New Brighton, MN to manage daily intermodal schedules and communications with customers. This role operates weekdays with an 7:00am–4:00pm shift and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Ideal candidates have a 2 year degree (bachelors preferred) and transportation/management experience, or are willing to train the right person. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree required, bachelor's preferred.
• Transportation/management experience or willingness to train suitable candidate.
• Experience in intermodal or logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily intermodal schedule for New Brighton, MN facility.
• Perform data entry and maintain records.
• Track orders and coordinate imports/exports schedules.
• Handle driver paperwork and communications with customers.
• Resolve issues to prevent service disruptions.
• Support clerical tasks and chassis pickup/drop-offs.

Intermodal Dispatcher - Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily intermodal schedule for Big Blue Boxes in our New Brighton, MN facility
• Data entry
• Track and tracking all orders
• Schedule appointments for imports/exports
• Driver paperwork
• Customer communication
• Problem solving before the issues result in service failures
• Timely clerical responsibilities to ensure completeness of job
• Chassis pickup and drop locations
• Other job duties as assigned

Intermodal Dispatcher - Education and Experience Required:

• 2 year degree, Bachelors preferred
• Transportation/Management experience or will train the right candidate

Intermodal Dispatcher - Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft office products
• Computerized dispatch and record keeping
• Willingness to adapt to ever changing customer requirements
