Qualifications

• 2-year degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in transportation/management, or will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily intermodal schedule.
• Track and manage all orders.
• Schedule appointments for imports/exports.
• Handle driver paperwork and customer communication.
• Solve problems to prevent service failures.
• Complete clerical responsibilities timely.
• Manage chassis pickup and drop locations.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Proficient in Microsoft office products

Computerized dispatch and record keeping

Strong Interpersonal Skills

Education

Intermodal Dispatcher - Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily intermodal schedule for Big Blue Boxes in our Chicago facility
• Track and tracking all orders
• Schedule appointments for imports/exports
• Driver paperwork
• Customer communication
• Problem solving before the issues result in service failures
• Timely clerical responsibilities to ensure completeness of job
• Chassis pickup and drop locations
• Other job duties as assigned

Intermodal Dispatcher - Education and Experience Required:

• 2 year degree, Bachelors preferred
• Transportation/Management experience or will train the right candidate

Intermodal Dispatcher - Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft office products
• Computerized dispatch and record keeping
• Willingness to adapt to ever changing customer requirements
