Big Blue Boxes in Romeoville, Illinois is seeking an Intermodal Dispatcher to join their growing team. In this role, you will manage the daily intermodal schedule, track orders, and communicate with customers, ensuring seamless logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a 2-year degree and have experience in transportation or management. A dynamic team atmosphere, competitive compensation, and growth opportunities await.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in transportation/management, or will train the right candidate.

Responsabilités

• Manage daily intermodal schedule.
• Track and manage all orders.
• Schedule appointments for imports/exports.
• Handle driver paperwork and customer communication.
• Solve problems to prevent service failures.
• Complete clerical responsibilities timely.
• Manage chassis pickup and drop locations.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Connaissances

Proficient in Microsoft office products

Computerized dispatch and record keeping

Willingness to adapt to customer requirements

Strong Interpersonal Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Formation

2 year degree, Bachelor's preferred

Intermodal Dispatcher - Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily intermodal schedule for Big Blue Boxes in our Chicago facility
• Track and tracking all orders
• Schedule appointments for imports/exports
• Driver paperwork
• Customer communication
• Problem solving before the issues result in service failures
• Timely clerical responsibilities to ensure completeness of job
• Chassis pickup and drop locations
• Other job duties as assigned

Intermodal Dispatcher - Education and Experience Required:

• 2 year degree, Bachelors preferred
• Transportation/Management experience or will train the right candidate

Intermodal Dispatcher - Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft office products
• Computerized dispatch and record keeping
• Willingness to adapt to ever changing customer requirements
