Job summary

Jetco Delivery in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher to take ownership of daily intermodal dispatch operations, coordinate drivers, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will assign loads, manage schedules, communicate shipment status, and maintain paperwork accuracy.

The role requires at least 2 years of intermodal or truckload dispatching experience, strong knowledge of port operations and Texas rail ramps, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of intermodal or truckload dispatching experience.
• Deep knowledge of port operations, container movement, intermodal equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and adjust plans quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong geographic knowledge of Texas ports and rail ramps.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Compcare VIntermodal a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of daily intermodal dispatch operations.
• Assign loads and manage driver schedules to meet time-sensitive delivery demands.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment status, exceptions, and special instructions.
• Manage Fast Pass requests, equipment releases, and paperwork accuracy.
• Monitor and resolve delays or service disruptions proactively.
• Collaborate with safety, maintenance, and compliance for smooth operations.
• Train and supervise assistant dispatchers or support staff.
• Uphold the highest safety standards for all personnel and loads.
• Provide leadership in maintaining and improving customer service performance.
