Job summary

ISHE in Idaho seeks an Intermittent - PACT Registered Nurse (RN) to influence care outcomes by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and applying leadership, experience, and creative approaches to complex patient care. This as-needed position has no guaranteed hours.

Work with primary care teams to support Veterans, manage patient panels, and promote health education and preventive care within the VA framework. Effective English proficiency and a current RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a US state.
• Foreign education may require degree equivalency validation.
• GNT exception allows temporary appointment while pursuing licensure.
• Reference VA Qualification Standards for Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Veteran care and care coordination in the Primary Care Department.
• Manage assigned panels using registries and ensure access to care.
• Promote health education, wellness coaching, and chronic disease management.
• Develop leadership within outpatient PACT nursing practice.
• Delegate care appropriately based on assessed needs and safety.
