Job summary

State of Ohio is seeking staff for the Cambridge Developmental Center to provide direct support and direct care services. The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, implementing activities, and documenting care and incidents in a timely manner.

This position is intermittent, part-time with variable hours. Applicants must meet education requirements (high school diploma or STNA) and may need a valid driver's license. Overtime is mandatory as noted in postings.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic including addition & subtraction; reading, writing & speaking English.
• Must have high school diploma or GED or STNA certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, communication, money management, etiquette, and social skills.
• Implements active treatment activities (gym, pavilion, activity room, pool).
• Assists with planning and shopping (shopping, vocational skills, hair appointments).
• Completes daily and monthly documentation, including incident reports and medication reactions.
• Performs light housekeeping in living areas
• Assists with redirecting unsafe actions to achieve positive outcomes.
