Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Greenville, MS is seeking an experienced pipefitter/ installer to lay out, fabricate, and install piping systems on industrial sites. The role requires reading isometric drawings, measuring precisely, and working with various tools to assemble pipes and related equipment.

Responsibilities include aligning and bolting components for welding, securing pipes and fittings, rigging materials, and hydro testing completed systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior field experience preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of metal fabrication and pipe installation.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Proficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools with safety.

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings and take measurements for piping.
• Fabricate and install piping efficiently according to plans and specs.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Position materials during installation and follow specifications.
• Identify material thickness and type of metal.
• Rig and handle rigging equipment safely by hand.
• Operate beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, and magnetic drills.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports; hydro test piping.
