Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Ridgeland, MS seeks an experienced pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems in industrial settings. You will read isometric drawings, weld and thread joints, and perform hydro-testing while following plans, specs, and safety rules.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work long hours on construction sites, and standing in varying weather conditions. Prior piping experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area.
• Must possess working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and comunicates with management.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints.
• Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; install items per plans and specs.
• Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Manually handle and secure rigging equipment.
• Operate tools and equipment including beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills, and more.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems.
