Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Mississippi is seeking a skilled tradesperson to lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, supports and related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

The role requires reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping, welding components, aligning and bolting parts, and rigging on a construction site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or experience in related area.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, fabricating and installing piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment by welding and threading.
• Position materials during installation and follow applicable plans and specs.
• Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Rig and handle rigging equipment safely.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills and similar tools.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems.
