Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration in Bristol, TN is seeking an intermediate carpenter to support reconstruction projects. The role requires extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

You will help with scope development alongside BELFOR estimators and mentor basic carpenters on site. Responsibilities include handling contents safely, applying containment measures, performing trimming and salvage tasks, and completing shrink wrap training.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience is required.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators.
• Develops and mentors basic carpenters on the project.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential problems and seek guidance.
• Respond to project questions and escalate when needed.
• Move and protect contents to prevent damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants.
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging and labeling of trim, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend shrink wrap training and complete four shrink wrap projects.
• Identify insulation types and their R-values.
• Apply skills across trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing and siding.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Meet BELFOR standards for safeguarding property and customer service.
• Work under time constraints to meet deadlines.
• Occasional nights, weekend work and travel may be required.
