Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an experienced Intermediate Carpenter (Level 3) in Memphis, TN to support reconstruction efforts. You will perform advanced carpentry tasks, supervise unskilled labor, and work with BELFOR estimators on scope development, often traveling to project sites and occasionally working nights or weekends.

The role emphasizes residential to commercial capabilities, material knowledge, safety training, and autonomous project execution in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience with ability to work with little supervision.
• Supervise unskilled labor and coordinate with sub-contractors as needed.
• Capable of expanding residential carpentry skills to commercial/multi-family projects.
• Experience with emergency services such as board ups and securing structures.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance as needed.
• Direct questions to the appropriate resource and provide answers when possible.
• Move and protect contents to prevent damage.
• Create containment for dust and debris in the work area.
• Perform tasks related to framing, trim, cabinetry, and related carpentry using BELFOR methods.
• Complete shrink wrap training and perform projects involving shrink wrap.
• Identify insulation types and R-values; apply relevant materials.
• Operate daily tasks with material knowledge and trades skills.
• Complete safety inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Uphold customer service principles in all interactions.
• Meet project timelines; work nights/weekends and travel as required.
• Document time and resources used; attend BELFOR safety trainings.
