Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator to deploy, manage, and secure workloads on AWS, including Kubernetes and Docker-based deployments. Qualifications

• Ten years of overall experience in IT with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master's may substitute for 2 years.
• Ten years IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms; proficient in patching, STIG, and upgrades on AWS.
• Experience in AWS workloads administration; ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems.
• Experience in system administration and support for Amazon EKS.
• Experience with Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers; container orchestration experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements.

Job Description:

• Deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS as well as implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
• Define requirements, create functional models, and develop architectural processes.
• Optimize system operations using AWS tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ensure alignment with security protocols and standards for cloud services.

Qualifications:

• Ten (10) years of overall experience in one or more of the functional areas listed below. A bachelor's degree in related field required. A master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Ten (10) years IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms. Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration related to ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems.
• Demonstrated experience in system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS.
• Demonstrated experience in system administration and supporting development and test teams in AWS and along with an applied understanding of Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers.
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training and one year applied experience on containerized platforms.
• IAT II certification (Security+ Desired)
• TS/SCI clearance required

A intermdeiate level AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator should have at leasttwo (2) of the following Trainings or Certifications below and at least one(1) year applied experience with Container Orchestration and/or application deployment. Two(2) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification.
