Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator to deploy, manage, and secure workloads on AWS, including Kubernetes and Docker-based deployments. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and offers incentives such as referral and sign-on bonuses.

You will work with Linux and Windows servers, implement security controls, and collaborate with development and test teams to optimize cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Ten years of overall experience in IT with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master's may substitute for 2 years.
• Ten years IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms; proficient in patching, STIG, and upgrades on AWS.
• Experience in AWS workloads administration; ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems.
• Experience in system administration and support for Amazon EKS.
• Experience with Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers; container orchestration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS; implement security controls and compliance requirements.
• Define requirements, create functional models, and develop architectural processes.
• Optimize system operations using AWS tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ensure alignment with security protocols and standards for cloud services.
