Job description

Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood, Jefferson City, MO 65109

Why You’ll Love This Position

We are seeking a positive, energetic person. If you enjoy a challenging, fast-paced environment and we are willing to make quick decisions, this is the job for you. This position is integral in overseeing a variety of fiscal duties, including preparing the daily draw report, requesting federal funds identified on the report, grant reconciliations; as well as other cash and funds management activities.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret daily financial information.
  • Verify data from daily draw report and prepare the funds to be drawn.
  • Identify any issues, evaluate options and recommend solutions.
  • Process and approve funding lines to ensure revenue recevied is properly applied to the correct fund and grant.
  • Maintain systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance of the unit.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Internet, and the state's financial system to complete duties.
  • Serve as backup to unit tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office. Proficient with Access databases preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Be accountable for themselves and to the team.
  • Ability to mulit-task, manage time, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exercise significant independence, judgment, and initiative in the performance of their duties.

Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

The State of Missouri offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, generous amounts of leave and holiday time, and eligibility for health insurance coverage. Your total compensation is more than the dollars you receive in your paycheck. To help demonstrate the value of working for the State of Missouri, we have created an interactive Total Compensation Calculator.
