Job summary

The position requires a BS in Engineering, 7+ years in engineering with leadership experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials Science)
• 7+ years of experience in engineering roles with design, integrations and/or certification responsibilities
• At least one year in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, cross-functional project) or completed Boeing leadership course
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus among stakeholders with differing perspectives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to leadership

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Payloads Engineering Unit Members (E-UMs), E-UMs in training, and support staff
• Coordinate with design, certification, and production teams to remove roadblocks
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to enable team performance and quality
• Promote an open, respectful, and collaborative culture across the value stream
• Lead initiatives that improve the certification system and regulatory interactions
