Job summary

Standard Textile is seeking a Business Development Consultant to support development and management of new sales opportunities within an assigned account portfolio. You will assist Corporate Account Managers and Directors, gain product knowledge, and build account management skills for progression within Corporate Accounts.

This foundational role covers execution, follow-up, and coordination for existing and prospective accounts across all Interior markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-4 years of sales, business development, account management, or related experience; textiles/healthcare/hospitality background a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to learn and apply CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Corporate Account Managers and Directors in achieving revenue, margin, and retention goals for assigned accounts.
• Contribute to account performance through execution, follow-up, and opportunity support.
• Identify and qualify incremental growth opportunities within existing accounts and provide selling support.
• Support pipeline development through research, lead capture, and upsell/cross-sell ideas.
• Assist in early discovery conversations with target customers under guidance.
• Learn core interiors products, pricing, and solutions; align with key account programs.
• Maintain CRM hygiene (notes, opportunities, contacts, tasks) and assist in reporting and forecasting.
• Demonstrate organization, follow-up, and professionalism; pursue Account Manager role.
