Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Interior Systems Engineer to lead the concept and detailed design of cabin systems for full vehicle development. You will develop requirements, create 3D geometry, and drive production-ready solutions across design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

You will coordinate with Studio, Packaging, and Advanced Engineering, applying GD&T and modern construction techniques to deliver high-quality interiors for aerospace and automotive programs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years designing interior subsystems and release processes
• 5+ years using 3D CAD software (NX, Catia, 3DX)
• 2+ years of team lead experience
• 3+ years of experience in production release
• 3+ years in a factory setting launching a new product
• System level management experience

Responsibilities

• Create interior system requirements and specs with design, supply chain, and other teams
• Set targets for function, cost, weight and investment
• Develop 3D geometry and concepts for crash load cases
• Optimize designs with analyses and ensure compliance with regulations
• Deliver craftsmanship and GD&T fit/finish
• Explore novel construction techniques toward production feasibility
• Coordinate with Studio, Packaging, Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers
• Present concepts and status to senior management
