Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced automotive/system engineer to join our team delivering concept-to-production vehicle programs. You will define component and system requirements, develop CAD designs, and support feasibility studies across packaging and driveline integration.

Candidates should have 5+ years in automotive or commercial vehicle engineering, strong CAD skills (CATIA 3Dx/3DExperience/V5), and proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMA principles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience.
• 2+ years of CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience or V5).
• GD&T and tolerance analysis knowledge.
• DFMA and serviceability principles.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, sourcing and validation activities.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving.
