Job summary

HLW, a 140-year global architecture and design firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Project Architect / Job Captain for our Interiors studio. This role manages technical development, coordination, and documentation from design development through construction administration, collaborating with teams, consultants, and clients to maintain design integrity and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation.
• US Registered Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) required.
• Strong proficiency in Revit; experience with AutoCAD, 3D Modeling Software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions and construction details in collaboration with the design team.
• Prepare and manage drawing sets, 3D models, and design documentation in Revit, ensuring compliance with firm standards.
• Assist in all project phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to integrate design and technical elements.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA regulations, and industry standards.
• Organize and present project information to internal teams, consultants, and clients.
• Assist in preparing and filing permit and construction documents, ensuring accuracy in coordination with senior staff.
• Support the signing and sealing process for project documents.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals, providing recommendations for action.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address potential issues.
