Job Summary:
Responsible for interior maintenance and repair on Commercial Aircraft Types.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Remove, clean, service, and replace various aircraft components using special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions, supervisor’s directives, and manuals to complete all assignments timely.
- Recover all aircraft seats and armrests.
- Service all aircraft emergency equipment to specifications.
- Perform duties of and provide training for lower skill levels.
- Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition.
- Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area.
- Maintain personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department.
- Work weekends and 1st or 2nd shift as required.
Successfully complete any necessary courses as determined by the Training Department. Perform any additional work assigned by the supervisor.
Job Specifications:
- Proficient in the proper use of safety equipment, drill motor, rivet gun, removal and reinstallation of interior panels, insulation, floor panels, door thresholds, cockpit seats, cabin seats, overhead bins, cabin window shades, original carpet, moonwalk, door slides and covers, life rafts, non-skid material, stewardess seats, air grills, seat covers, DATO panels, Mylar, emergency equipment installation, lavatory dumping, servicing, filling potable water, disinfecting, cleaning interior, operation of reader printer, general knowledge of ATA codes, F.A.R.s, company policies, paperwork procedures including job cards, time cards, routine/non-routine cards, S.R.M.s, service bulletins, and work sign-off procedures.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- FAA Airframe License required, Powerplant license preferred.
- Minimum 6 months experience in heavy commercial maintenance, including C and D checks.
