Job summary

Gensler's Phoenix office is seeking a mid-level licensed interior designer to contribute to workplace environments for financial services, professional services, and tech clients. You will join an integrated interiors practice focused on innovative solutions and a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of interior design experience in an architecture or design firm.
  • NCIDQ Certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, or related field from an accredited school.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts. Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino and other modeling software programs
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
  • Strong graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Have a growth mindset
  • Ability to think three-dimensionally with great attention to detail
  • Excited to be an active participant in a vibrant design culture

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of the interior aspects of a project that include programming client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
  • Provide design support and documentation to communicate design ideas from concept to completion including three-dimensional development, graphic presentation, and construction documents
  • Collaborate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
  • Review drawings, mockups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors
  • Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives
  • Guide and mentor junior designers

Your Role

Our Phoenix office has a thriving interiors practice providing innovative solutions for a variety of projects, including workplace focused financial services, professional services, technology clients and amenities. Through our integrated inside-out design approach, we impact both the people working in our buildings and the surrounding community with our inspirational and thought-leading design solutions.

What You Will Do

Our annual base salary range has been established based on local markets.
