Job description

Description

We’re seeking a Designer to join our project team for the design of a confidential integrated resort—a landmark destination envisioned to redefine the relationship between architecture, landscape, and experience.

Spanning over one million square feet, the project will blend casino, food and beverage, and hotel environments with over 75,000 square feet of special venue space, including an award‑winning steakhouse, a rooftop bar, a collection of one‑of‑a‑kind lounges and entertainment venues, and a world‑class spa.

The resort will also feature a championship golf course that connects the built environment to its natural setting in a seamless and dramatic way. The guest tower celebrates 500 guest rooms, culminating in a range of scale and luxury experiences, highlighted by the sky suites, offering panoramic views and elevated private experiences. This project embodies the ambition to create a destination that is immersive, contemporary, and unforgettable in every detail.

Your Role

As a Gensler Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in interior design and a portfolio of innovative design concepts.

  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
  • Create initial concept packages with a strong design story to guide the design process through project completion.
  • Conduct programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at a final approved plan that meets the goals of clients.
  • Sculpt interior spaces as a holistic experience including specification of furniture, lighting, artwork, and finishes/materials.
  • Lead day‑to‑day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage communication and coordination with clients and consultants.
  • Communicate conceptual design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects – including review of submittals and finish samples as well as value engineering efforts to maintain design intent.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program.
  • 5‑8 years of interior design experience.
  • NCIDQ or CID Certification in progress.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
  • Rendering and visual communication skills are highly valued.
  • Passionate, self‑starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient – detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables.
