Job summary

Gray AES in Lexington, KY is seeking an Interior Designer II to join our office in Lexington. The role supports architectural and interior design projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop plans, renderings, and construction documents.

Candidates should have a degree and 3–5 years of experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe Creative Suite, and be able to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a technical college program with 3–5 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate and integrate with existing team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be physically present in a Gray office.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of design trends, construction methods and materials applications.
• Produce interior details for construction documents inclusive of specialty finish installation, specialty casework and specialty lighting.
• Perform site survey, field measurements and documentation.
• Create presentations and construction documents for customers, construction personnel, sub-consultants and design-build subcontractors to convey design intent.
• Assist in administration, review, and coordination of project submittals.
• Develop innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe, functional, and conducive of customer goals and with project budget.
• Other duties may be assigned.
