Job summary

Gray AES in Charlotte, NC or Lexington, KY seeks an Architectural Tech II to support design development and construction administration under design managers. You will prepare scale drawings and assist in integrating engineering elements into unified designs for client review.

A Bachelor's degree in Architecture and 2–5 years of experience, strong Revit skills, and proficiency with common design software are required.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 2–5 years of experience.
Experience designing in Revit is highly preferred; ability to produce architectural drawings required.
Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, email and general design software.
Must be physically present in a Gray office.

Responsibilities

Prepares architectural plans as directed by design managers.
Assists layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design.
Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for customers, construction personnel, sub-consultants, and design-build subcontractors.
May assist design managers in administration, review, and coordination of project submittals.
May periodically assist design managers in conducting on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
Prepares studies and reports.
Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment.
