Job summary

SAS Architects & Planners, LLC is seeking an Interior Designer to join a collaborative studio focused on Senior Living, Healthcare, Educational & Commercial projects. You will support all phases of design and construction, including 3D renderings, material selection, and FF&E coordination.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years working experience.
• Current knowledge of material, finishes, furnishings and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and effectively on multiple projects from concept to completion.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong design sense and presentation skills.
• Experience with Senior Living, Healthcare, Educational & Commercial projects in desired.
• Minimum of BArch degree from an accredited institution in Interior Design.
• Working proficiency with Revit is required.
• Ability to assemble and assist with schematic concepts and more detailed construction drawings.
• Working proficiency with rendering programs such as Enscape and Lumion is preferred.
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and Sketchup.
• Proficiency with graphic/ rendering programs like Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Full-time position only.
• Candidates must be commutable to the Northbrook office; relocation or fully remote arrangements are not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate in all phases of design and construction.
• Prepare graphic presentations, including 3D renderings.
• Assist on selecting and specifying materials and FF&E selections.
• Work collaboratively with SAS team members, clients, contractors, vendors and others to produce and coordinate design and construction documents.
